Nothing but vibes.
With many pandemic restrictions a distant memory, New York Fashion Week returned this month at full force. For many international participants, it was their first time returning to the United States since Covid, adding a jolt of energy to the pomp. Throughout the week, there was no shortage of creative looks — some the inventions of brands, others of individuals — worn by guests and spectators alike who seemed to evince a renewed appreciation for dressing up. Everyone was vibrant, the shows both inside and out were buzzing and it was the best September weather the city has had in years. Perhaps the best word to describe the general mood and sartorial aesthetic? “Happy.”
