What Did You Wear to That Wedding?
The New York Times is interested in sharing pictures of readers’s nontraditional wedding attire. Did you attend (or have) a wedding where the dress code called for “creative cocktail” or “desert chic?” We’d love to see your outfit.
Around 2.5 million weddings are expected to take place this year, and many of them had been rescheduled because of the pandemic. The delay, along with Covid restrictions, has inspired some people to rethink common wedding traditions, including dress codes. Instead of suggesting formal or semiformal attire, some couples are requesting that attendees think outside the box and come dressed in clothes that show off their personality or pay homage to the wedding venue.
Did you have or attend a wedding with a distinctive dress code? What was the inspiration behind your outfit? We’re excited to see your pictures.
Please share a brief description and a photo of what you wore to a wedding with a nontraditional dress code using the form below. We won’t use your name or identifying information without your permission.
