The first preloading chance for PlayStation preorder players will occur on September 14.

What’s Included In The Beta Version?

Activision is gradually exposing the multiplayer maps that will be accessible during the beta. Farm 18, Valderas Museum, Mercado Las Almas, and the Marina Bay Grand Prix have been revealed thus far. Here is your first glimpse at the Marina Bay Grand Prix map, and Infinity Ward has given a behind-the-scenes video of Farm 18’s design. As previously reported by Infinity Ward, every multiplayer map in Modern Warfare 2 was created for classic 6v6 matches.

However, a Ground War map will also be included in the beta. It is known as Sarrif Bay and contains a combination of ground, air, and sea warfare, pitting 32 players from each squad against one another.

The beta includes the tactical Knockout mode, the Siege-like Prisoner Rescue scenario, and the massive Ground War mode Invasion. For the Monday, September 19 playlist update, the following playlists are playable:

  • Group Deathmatch
  • Domination
  • Prisoner Rescue
  • Knock Out
  • Find and Destroy
  • Third-Person Point of View

Participants in the beta’s first week will receive a variety of incentives, including an emblem, sticker, weapon blueprint, and animated player card. These rewards will return in week 2, along with a new operator skin, vinyl, sticker, vehicle skin, and weapon blueprint. The beta will also contain Gunsmith 2.0, allowing players to see how much more control they have over weapon customization.

Early Campaign Access For Preorders

In addition, as a preorder incentive, gamers can have early access to Modern Warfare 2’s campaign. Activision stated that anyone who preorders Modern Warfare 2 digitally will gain early access to the game’s campaign beginning on October 20.
